My Grannie

by

Alice C. Bateman

My Grannie got recalled by the Maker

Won’t get to see my Grannie anymore

My Grannie was recalled by the Maker

Wish that I had seen her just before

I miss her, but I know she is with God now

Perhaps they’re up there having midnight tea

I miss her, but I know she is with God now

And I know somehow, through God, she is with me

My Grampa, he’s been gone for years now

He’s been up there sitting by the Throne

He’ll be glad that he now has my Grannie

There with God in their Eternal Home

My Grannie was recalled by the Maker

Won’t get to see my Grannie anymore

My Grannie was recalled by the Maker

And now she lives inside of Heaven’s Door
