On the Wings of Angels

by

Alice C. Bateman

Someone is always just going to be born

And someone else, always to die

Only our God knows the plans of these Fates

And leaves us all wondering why

Kristie, I am so very sorry

For the loss you have suffered this day

Your Daughter, your Angel, your Darling

Has been by the Tides swept Away

On wings of the angels and cherubs

Among them your own little girl

She flies softly to Heaven

On the wings of the Hosts

And she's leaving you here to Endure

Oh, Kristie, my eyes are now filling

The shock past, the grief has set in

Oh, Kristie, I love you

I'm Sorry

For this there are not words to begin.....

I Love you, I love her, I share all your pain

And your grief and your deep sense of loss

Oh, Kristie, my Friend, I'm so sorry

That your life must bear such a cost

In deep and abiding friendship and love, Kristie.
