When They Come to Me

by

Ana

They come to watch me in the night,
I can't see them, but I can hear them.
Calling out to me screaming "Save Me"
with all their might.

"Do you think I can save you" I scream into the
night, with a thousand meanings.
Looking and searching in the dark
Desolated room, staring and hearing
to see what they will say next.

"What do you want" I say with a sigh, I stand and
start to pace around the lonely room with
a thousand thoughts running
through my mind "I can't save you,
how can I, When I can't even save myself".

I move toward the bed with a sigh and a shake
of my head. I lie down to a restful sleep, covering
my ears to stop from hearing the screams, As I fall
asleep, I wonder will they ever come to look upon me
again and if they don't good riddance to them
