Don't Cry For Me
by
Augustine Ekhaiyeme

The memories I have are hard to erase,
the thoughts of them puts a smile on my face.
Wipe the tears from your eyes because I am not in pain,
the skies are blue here as though it rains.
So don't cry for me.
I am right by you, don't look any further,
our fondest memories will bring us closer to a border.
Our love is still the same,
no matter the distance it will never fade.
So don't cry for me.
Where I am now is a beauty to see,
I guess immortality is where we will all be.
Where our dreams and hopes we will finally meet,
when we see Christ our God on his mercy seat.
Please don't cry for me.
