Think About Them
by
Cesar A. Miranda
What did I
do?
To deserve this pain,
To be confused in vain,
Rejected by them,
Tell me what did I do?
What did I say?
What was my fault?
To get punished like this.
If I didn’t ask to come,
I didn’t ask to live,
Now you tell me why,
You treat me like this?
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world.
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world.
I ask myself,
If I’m the only one,
All the marks on me,
Don’t make it hard to find,
At the end of the room,
I go and hide,
Trying to forget these horrors,
Closing my eyes.
On I run,
Run away from them,
The room gets closer,
My legs can’t stand straight,
After they’re done,
I just ask myself,
If this is right,
Can’t find the answers I search.
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world.
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world.
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world,
There is nothing worth,
Nothing here for me anymore,
The only place I thought I was safe,
I found out I was wrong.
Hear the cries of a boy,
Who suffers every day,
The anger of his parents,
An anger he can’t understand (he says).
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world.
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
My error was to come,
To this world.
What did I do?
To deserve this pain,
To get confused in vain,
Rejected by them,
Tell me what did I do?
Was there something wrong with me?
Wrong with myself,
Can’t understand why they’re like this.
If I was only born,
My only fault was life,
Can’t understand why,
They treat me like this.
If I was only born...
