Dark Goddess

by

Chinedu Uba

Once upon a time, we met
Once upon a time, our eyes met
Once upon a time, we smiled
And the ice went away

Once in a time,
An angel spoke to me,
So twinkling was her voice,
So milky was Her smiles
Yet, as drops of water,
She fell

In another while.
Venus became so jealous,
Because the Bronze Queen I possessed lived
Because Her smiles takes away the tears
Because her smile is like Sunshine,
Into my life

You are that angel,
That dream woman of mine
That Fairy I must worship,
That dark Queen of the Nile
..That mystery.
