Allure
by
Dana Ruffin

Derelict hours eclipse my fortress
of grandeur allure crystallized in me
isolated in a quiescent variation of bliss
I relax in my atmosphere growing heavy
as I listen to the sound of silence broken
by a constant rhythm of commotion chaotic
surging with toxic friction never ending
exposed in every crevice elevated alive
I evacuate to a place of reverie seclusion
distant from the montage of life's grand illusion
and recede in a pavilion oasis of sanctuary
lavish in enchanted moments
I open a labyrinth crest-fallen saturated
shifting iridescent into a comforting allure
