Quietude

seductive is the cover of darkness
ascending across my skin like water
ravished I slip helpless within
the obscurity of my shadow land chamber
haunted with secrets possessing the air
I breath in deep quietude and listen
to the conviction beneath the story they tell
and my mind dissolves weightless stimulated
with distant night sounds serenading me gentle
in a summer rhapsody caressing my window
I drift numb with pleasure warm insulating
on a momentary orbit flight of fantasy
my spirit awakens in visions enchanted
as the midnight hour spins a web of splendor
through my eyelashes falling down heavy
I recede immortal in an odyssey of dreams
