A
Rose
by
Dave
Frazier

With soft and fragrant petals,
Of exquisite curves and hue,
And color pure and pleasing,
So sweet in my eyes are you.
Deep is your texture, so soft,
Like such a fine powdery grain,
To thrill your touch upon my skin,
Like such a gentle summer's rain.
Arisen from the brown earth,
That nurtured your every shoot,
And fed your thirst and hunger,
Caressed your very root.
And gave to you sweet fragrance,
As of the sweetest wine,
Intoxicating is your pleasure,
Your pleasure is so divine.
My eyes do feast upon you,
Your beauty shining forth.
Your sultry tones and gentle curves,
No words describe your worth.
