Abrasive, and you scrape me,
At the layers of my soul.
Quickly wear me away,
To a powdery dust.
Pounding, and you crush me,
Pressing on my mind.
Resounding like brash thunder,
Echoing forever.
Tearing, and you rend me,
To eviscerated flesh.
My body, ripped and bleeding,
My soul drains out unending.
Then gently, and you soothe me,
With your soft caress.
Shyly brush against my skin,
To still my every nerve.
Whispers, and you calm me,
To quiet my swirling mind.
To guide me safe to slumber,
To dream and feel at peace.
Madness, and you taunt me,
What is it to be?
Crush me or caress me,
Your indifference gives false hope.
