So Far Away

Oh! Mine eyes to have taunted me as such!

As a gaze from afar to see,

Such beauty, but not for me.

A wanting upon me, becoming too much,

Straight to my heart, my soul to crush.

For her presence there, so pleasing is she,

Causes all my senses to flee!

My pursed lips draw nothing more than a silencing hush.



Alas, and woe has befallen my every moment!

To stifle the light in my life.

Never shall I know your sweet kiss,

Ever to languish within such strife.

Never to escape such everlasting torment!

My courage I cannot hedge, only dismiss
