Dreaming Heart

by

David Nuffer

I have not found the answer
I've been searching for so long
I try to work things out
But I just get things all wrong
My sunset slowly fades away
And I can only watch
I've lost my grip
I've lost your touch
I've fallen down a notch

I'm wishing here
From heart and soul
Our lives to be as one
Just needing you
To show me love
Far brighter than the sun

You slowly walk away from me
It's hard to notice change
A blind man sees no one slip by
Emptiness is all he gains
I've been a fool
I'm sorry to
Have involved you in this pain
I wish my light
Could hold your heart
And dry it from the rain
The final thoughts
That I will say
Are only what is true
From the deepest part
Of my dreaming heart
Sweet princess
I love you.
