Shrouded In Black

by

Derek Irick

Shrouded in Black, they cried
Shrouded in Black, they wondered why
Why he had died

Shrouded in Black, he stood among crowd,
Shrouded in Black, he was untouched,
Untouched by the sorrow as they cried so loud.

Shrouded in Black, he walked foreward to see,
Shrouded in Black, he saw the face he hated,
The one person who stopped him from being free.

Shrouded in Black, he laid there,
Shrouded in Black, was the person he hated
He laid there lifeless, and he did not care.

Shrouded in Black, he lay there
Shrouded in Black, was the person he could never forgive

Himself.....
