Shake Away the Gloomy Doubts

Let us shake away the gloomy doubts

And make this earth a place of pure delights

Let us give the withering flowers

A freshening life of happy smiles,

Let us change with love and patience,

These chilly winds and gloomy skies,

Let us make this land a place,

Where beauty pure never dies,

Let us sit under lovely bowers,

Of hope, confidence and mutual trust,

And change this chilly wind of ours,

Into a balmy and purifying ether,

And let us change these artificial, poisonous

And stinging breaths, into a healing power.
