It’s all so funny this thing we call life
So many twists and turns like a card game
Some hands are winners and some are losers
A drink dulls the pain of loss and sometimes
The excuses are needed to live the next moment
But my love for you will never be erased
No matter how many words my mind justifies
To smother my stupid decisions but life twists
And turns like my love for you
I hug you in my dreams and awake twisting
Turning suffering with reality’s honesty
