My Wonderland
by
Gala Ruiz Maldonado
to Alice its a wonderland
to you it may be a dream
to me it's the ever after and the fantasy
it's a world of love and laughter
where dreams and hearts roam free
oh, won't you come and venture with me?
I can slowly see us fall
into a drifting dream
don't you feel the fall?
we may have hit the ground
but it was surely padded
by our love, and dreams, and everything
see I knew that we could have it
have it all and what we need
the fun, the laughs, the memory
of walks, and talks, and a lasting kiss
tell me you will venture off to this
they say good things come to those who wait
so I wait, and wait, and wait
I never would have imagined
that you were behind that gleaming gate
a joy, a dream, a love, a man
and I get all the pride
just to walk with you
hand in precious hand
I love you babe
oh, can't you see?
that you have already
began this adventure with me
