What Can You See?

by

Gala Ruiz Maldonado

When the road is nearly ending
and time is slowly suspending
What can you see?

When the love has all been lost
and you've paid for every cost
What can you see?

When your kids have all moved on
and all you've loved is gone
What can you see?

When you are just too old to learn
and there is nothing left to earn
What can you see?

When your choices were all wrong
and your days just drag along
What can you see?

When your pain is all that's grown
and all your time is spent alone
What can you see?

When you know your time is over
and there is nothing left to discover
What can you see?

When you are just so tired of waiting
and the lights are quickly fading
What can you see?

What can you see
when everything is said and done?

When everything is gone
and there is nothing left to do

So when it's time for you to go...
What can you see?
