Unloved

by

Jacenta Aibangbee

Love stands still when she loves
She forgives and forgets how
she has been abused
Marred by many
who have promised to betroth her
Many chants
Many hymns
Many broken dreams
she dreams of
touching you
loving you.

In secrecy she stands so still as
silver mosaques
disclosed in quiet
igniting the fire
did I say she's caressing you?

She goes from conquer to conquering
Many have fell for her
she moves so gracefully with every twist of her hips
and those lips are smooth and soft as silk
When she speaks mountains quake
Tides rush in
and there you go spinnin' round
dizzy high

ask her why
she loves

love
Unhonored
Unmoved
With outstretched arms
she's
loving
reaching out
unloved.
