To My Little Girl

by

Jack Mann

Born so very pretty
Such a blessing indeed
So little and frail
And so much in need

A very bright light
In a house full of boys
So much to learn
Not many toys

My little girl
Grew up big and strong
To make her own life
Without doing wrong

A light in the darkness
Of which I’m so proud
So smart and so pretty
I’ll cry it out loud

When my life on earth
Has drawn to an end
I hope you remember
That I loved you then
