Love Gone

by

Jennifer Hansen

Love comes softly, sweetly, gently.
It is something you live and die for.
Love hurts, but the pain is only part of it.
I, too, once had love so great I would have died for it.
But it's gone now, and I hunger for the love I once had.
Although I know it will never be.
Once you've felt love you never want to let go.

It's like a soft morning mist on a delicate petal of a rose.
So beautiful, so special, but so easily torn.

As the waves crash upon the shores, the sea gulls cry their mournful cry.
You sit with the one special person in your life, as your love rages inside.
Hand in hand, side by side... forever.
