It’s a choice they say-
To feel this way-
To love a woman-
To live as Gay-
For this you shall be ostracized-
Stripped of rights-
Criticized-
When did love become a choice?
Turned on and off by circumstance
When did the heart learn to think
or grow eyes to see
The moment I loved her-
The whole world changed-
Turned upside down-
The heart now caged-
The world hasn’t changed-
Your minds have-
For if it was your heart that burned such truth
You would follow blindly, and love her too
