Music's Journey

by

Johanna Albee

Tranquil music whisking my heart off on a journey
Freeing it from the bodies knotted pain
Notes played slowly releasing the tension
Drowning
Smoothing
Easing comprehension

Then with storming conviction the musical instruments rise to an empowering climax
Drifting back down slowly, gently laying my heart delicately on my sleeve

Eyes closed
Breath slow
Soul silent, content
Play my tears to sleep

Bound now free
Send me soaring into magnificent red, orange and pink sunsets
To warm winds playing music through my hair
Orchestrating the rhythm of my heart

My souls dancing in the meadows of your angels melodies
Play on...Play on...
