A Feeling
by
Jolanta Gradowicz

It nested in my heart against common sense,
It got settled for good and clung to my soul.
There are so many reasons I have for defense.
Yet, I can’t deprive it of the warm home.
All my prudence disappeared at one moment.
I try to understand what happened and why.
I don’t want to scare it, so I remain silent -
It might fly away for ever. It is so shy...
This feeling is like a rosebud in the morning dew,
It’s waiting for the first warm sunbeams today.
It needs them to last till night and to begin anew.
It needs one word to bloom in a wonderful way.
