Worth It

by

Jonathan Isenor

Sitting in a hospital bed

Staring out the window

In your gown

Watching the gray sky

Wondering why

Why this had to happen to you

Why you had to carry this burden

Wondering if you should give up

Don’t

Keep fighting

Never give up

If you have faith

If you have the desire to live

You will make it through

I know it sounds impossible

But life is worth it

It’s worth everything

Every bit of pain

Every tear

Every drop of blood

Every bit of sweat

Just to live each day

Like it’s your last

No matter what happens

Life is worth living

All because you are worth it.
