Carey,

I apologize for this late response. I know others have commented on your poems as a group, but I wanted to single this one out for further comment. Carey, I think Wordsworth would have been honored by your work! Your ababcc rhyme scheme is flawless, and while I could nit pick about the meter, I will not...this is one of the best contemporary poems I have read in awhile. The Writer's Voice should be honored that you chose to post. Thank you, Carey, for sharing. I hope you stay around, and I look forward to reading more of your work.
