Sorry for the delay. I hope you enjoy this prompt. It came from Pinterest. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Keeping Time
Harry Buschman
I’ve had some good times and it’s always amazed me how quickly I’ve forgotten them. I need a reminder, something physical to keep them in mind. They fade away otherwise and get lost in the welter of bad days that have my made life unbearable.
So I keep them separate and apart In a big pewter mug on a shelf in a quiet room. They keep time there… I don’t mean “keep time,” as you would with a metronome. It’s a place to save the moments you want to remember. Like a holiday.
There’s nothing memorable about six minutes past three a.m. for anyone but me for instance, but I remember it well. It’s the precise time of day Margie was born. On a cold December morning eighteen years ago I stood at the nursery viewing window of Jefferson Memorial Hospital a view moments after my wife gave birth to Margie.
Margie’s graduating from Jefferson High this afternoon… she’s valedictorian and I’m just wondering what she’s going to say. When I first saw her she didn’t look like much… bald, red faced and mad as hell. She seemed pretty mad at being wakened at six minutes after three. I couldn’t blame her… who wouldn’t?
Like all valedictorians, she’s going to tell her fellow graduates that there’s a great big world out there just waiting to slurped down like an oyster.
I know that for a fact. I sneaked a look at her speech while she was at the senior prom with Rickie last week, (Rickie is the defensive right tackle for the senior football team).
Go Margie! _________________ We are all apprentices in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.

I love this, Harry. It's a wonderful slice of life piece that gives the reader an glimpse into someone's special moment. It made me smile. Boy, have I missed reading your work.
God bless, my friend,
Marlicia
