So Still Runs the River.
by
Keith Robson

Disturbing murky waters,
liquid blue memories
spin to the surface,
entwined
In golds and greens,
from far off plays
and long lost scenes.
Delicate moon painted bridges,
soft silver cameos
engraved on bracelets,
singing
serpentine embraces,
from far off seas
and long lost places.
In creeping shadows of the dawn,
I held you close to me
bound in chains of gold,
silence
tightly wrapped around,
from far off songs
and long lost sound.
On looms of exquisite loneliness,
tapestries embroidered
with faded threads,
regret's
whispering sands,
from far off dreams
and distant lands.
