Angel Who Rescued Me

You reached down, offered me a helping hand
Pulled me out of my dark world
Help me up until I could stand.
You listened for an eternity while I cried,
Then helped to wipe away the tears from my eyes.
As the phone rang all through the night,
You kept your arms around me, told me everything would be alright,
Hearing his screeching tires you knew he was near
Remaining strong you never showed any fear,
You were so much more than a friend could ever be,
You were the angel who rescued me.
