Reality Check

by

Manpreet Kang

You say you only want to see me become wise
That's why you come at me
with all this attitude, these assumptions and lies?
Every time you've twisted the facts beyond belief
and what? that makes you feel bolder?
You say I havn't been anything but bad news
and a continuous burden as I got older
Don't worry, when I part from this world
I won't even use your shoulder
All the caring, the dreams, the wishful thinking
has come to an end
Cuz you know what?
Deceipt, misery, and loneliness are life's best friend.
