The Person I Love and Hate

Why is it that the person I love the most
is also the one I hate
The one that makes me so happy
Is the only one who can make me want to meet my fate
I try so hard to love him
But he doesn't understand
He needs to do more than just say he loves me
He needs to hold my hand
One day he's Mr. Nice guy
And the next I swear he's not the person I know
He can be so cold
Like the ground after it snows
I love him so much
That I can't help but hate him
Sometimes I wonder why
I even choose to date him
