Gold Rain

by

Melissa DeMedio

Golden leaves,
That extend with grace,
Held hands that embrace,
With golden rain streaming out,
Down its stem it goes all about.

Leaves glow with the great glitter,
Hope that is repeated without shame,
The golden flower of the heart,
Proud as light and the gifted right,
That holds your hand at night,
Oh so bright.

In a vase of plate'd silver,
The liquid flows from the petal to the floor,
Thick as mist,
Though course and crisp,
The golden rain holds it's round,
With hardly any sound.

Trickling down,
It's completely found,
With love caressing it's glow,
From flower to floor,
The golden flower keeps it's flow,
Because there's no other place to go.

Heart,
Soul,
Body and mind,
The golden flower keeps on,
Grows on with love and beauty,
Where all life is found and kept bound.
