Discontented
by
Michelle True

We too quickly become
discontented with what we have,
hungering for more.
Wolves on the prowl,
we soon become the hunted,
caught in our own trap.
When we catch our prey
the satisfaction is short-lived.
It becomes immediately obsolete,
forcing us to always be on the lookout
for the latest and greatest.
We never allow ourselves
to be satisfied with what we have
for any length of time.
What keeps us moving forward,
pursuing perfection, is our
restless, relentless, discontent.
