Get Lost
by
Michelle True

It's not just what I say
but how I say it
that you should
pay attention to.
Am I leaning in towards you
or leaning so far back
that I'm so desperate to get
away from you that
I'm willing to take the chance
that I may fall off the bar stool?
Am I looking into your eyes
or looking over your shoulders
for someone I know
so I can excuse myself?
Am I smiling at you
or do I have an
annoyed smirk
on my face?
If you could properly read
between the lines
you'd hear me say
"you have no chance in hell, buddy."
My body language
clearly states
"Get Lost!"
