Salvation

by

Mike Winters

We live many lives
Centuries pass us by
And still we follow the same things each time
A mysterious force governs us
Some believe it is called destiny
Others call it fate
While few call it finding true love
It is this which determines where we go with our lives ultimately
The force leads us to many people through the time of life
Some are friends, some are foes
Then there are those select few
Ones who reach out to you, but not with their arms
They reach out with their hearts and touch your own
These people become like a part of you
They could even be just like family
There are a select few you will find though
They will reach right into your heart
And take it for their own
Or instead they will shred it apart
So that only pain and suffering is left in its place
Some believe that one day though, they will find the one
The person whose soul is an exact match for their own
And only at this time, lest they give up their journey sooner
Shall they finally be redeemed with the reward they have sought
Their salvation
True Love
