The Old Man

by

Mira Minkova

Again he is chasing me, the old man, the same one - that one:
"You have time to talk with your soul,
say two words to me too," - Go away. The soul
I lost long ago, a report has been given. And
I don't have time,
the bottle in your clutches
is more of a fire than me. With it you should talk.
He had something to say. Something important.
He always stood round the corner, but when
that day I looked for him
only the bottle and... the dog was groaning. His breath
was still in the air. Old man,
where are you? I have,
I have something to say.
