As the snow filled the minute spaces between strangers below…
A barely perceptible panic set in from high above the chaos…
Knowing your expectation of my promised presence,
Nonetheless having to accept the reality of Mother Nature’s stubborn arrival.
Balancing the need to get to you with the danger of the attempt…
It becomes just one more decision in a hurried and hectic day…
I know your quite well, possibly distracted, but silently wondering...
Yet I also know that your innocent logic understands.
But my heart still yearns to feel your hug…
And to soak up the smile that would melt the snow.
