already so splendid
possibly the greatest friendship of all time
threatened with feelings
of something more...
An ache in my chest
as I lie next to you
And feel you breathing on my cheek
as you sleep so peacefully...
Confusion tearing at my heart,
agonizing thoughts...
Love you, hate you, befriend you...
I don't want to lose this moment
but I know it dare not last
I'd rather have the promise of friendship,
Even with your arm around me
and your eyelashes on my forehead...
