there ever been
a sparkle so enchanting...
not the innocent glimmer
of a distant, twilight cityscape,
not the silent twinkle
of the stars in a vast night sky,
not the sweet luminescence
of the fireflies' dance one summer eve...
as the shimmer of love
I have found radiant in his eyes.
