Once My Glory

by

Onyenuchie Ikpeka

I am heavy with envy
Now in your place,
Another man with a pace
That heads to my peace.
I am hungry and angry
Now you paddle in my paradise
This parasite in for a sight
That parades my passion.
He placed in my palm a pack
That cast spell on my pride
He pose in my portion
A vision that clashes with my mission.
Gosh! what a gory that gulps
my glory!
Once so glossy that gloss
Me round the globe.
