Who is my Enemy?

by

Pastor Emmanuel R. Wells Sr.

When searching for a friend in life,
what is it that we see?
It seems everywhere we look we find another enemy.

Is there even a place in life, to live peaceably?
Or will we until the day we die,
have to face our enemies?

I have dreamed of such a place, where we live in total peace.
Then when I wake up again, without delay I see my enemy.

I have even tried to fantasize, with great hopes of reality.
The possibilities of a life without an enemy.

Can we destroy hate; do we have that kind of strength or ability?
Does hate even have a name,
hate is my enemy?

I have but one hate that is deep down inside of me.
I hate the one, who hates my creator;
he alone is my true enemy.

Maybe you can’t rest until I mention the name of this my advisory.
His name is Satan, whom I much despise,
with no regrets, he is my enemy.
