Constant's Sea

by

Paul Grimsley

thinking is a symptom of entropy:
seeking to define a canopy,
absolutes need no debate --
discussion is only for that which decays;
change though is the only permanent state,
so we put our trust in the constant of days,
constancy is safety --
what if Newton had sat under a safe tree?
would we still be free of gravity?
