I have never seen….
by

I have never seen Caesar,
I have never seen Cleopatra,
Yet I know the bewitching beauty,
And her enticement on Anthony.
I have never visited moon
And have never seen an astronaut,
Yet I feel the magical surroundings
And what an ecstasy it must be.
I have never seen a ghost
And have never seen an old castle,
Yet I know the Hamletian dilemma
And the concern of Ophelia’s parents.
I have never seen Lord Shiva
And have never seen the river Ganga
Descending from heaven,
But I hav’seen the Ganga in all its forms.
I have never seen Mahatma Gandhi
And never seen the poet Zaverchand Meghani
But read his poem “Drink last cup of venom”
Felt Gandhi’s agony carried to London.
