I Have A Name
by
Ram Mehta
I am never going to accomplish the fame
Sweet of the rose is in the name it bears
Things are not only what they really claim.
Not to be writ on a roster I have a name
It has been given by god and my parents
I am never going to accomplish the fame.
My neighbours have given me a name
By my appearance, walking in the airs
But things are not only what they claim
My enemies have given me a name
Judging me by corporate demeanours
I am never going to accomplish the fame.
I have names by vices, virtues and blame
Given by my love, life, work and death
But things are not only what they claim.
Not worried about the bullet with my name
As I do nothing at all, but bite my nails,
I am not going to accomplish the fame
And things are not only what they claim. |
