Birthday Tale

by

Rusty Broadspear

Another birthday in a different place,
A celebration without a face.
As the Blue Globe turns a further year,
One more fades upon this Sphere.

Years may die whilst new are born,
Suns may set before each dawn.
Seeds, scattered for next years wheat,
Windmill's sail turns complete.

Experiencing birth, raising child,
Time runs loose, free and wild.
Birthdays arrive on the carousel,
To greet, to play, then say farewell.

Bless each birthday for a year gone by,
Under dark and clear blue sky,
Praise the Lord for the year ahead,
That you may follow life's golden thread.
