Feel

by

Sara Rarick

Your words pull me in, then destroy me with what I never want to hear.

All I wanted was to feel, to love

But you take that away from me and leave my heart bleeding out of my mouth and my mind

spinning like a hurricane.

Thoughts that don’t make sense…

I can’t think when I’m away from you, but even when I am with you, I never get enough

for my confusion to evade.

I just want to see, I want to know.

Because I’m drowning, I’m sinking in the words I never said.

Asphyxiating in regret, I can’t live with what I’ve done.

Things won’t change… you won’t change.

Tear my heart from my chest, steal away my last breath.

And leave misery on my gravestone.

I want to teach you what I know…

I want to show you what I see…

I want you, I want you to feel…

I want you to feel what I feel!
