Freedom
by
Sara Rarick

Freedom is as necessary as air.
Without freedom, I would suffocate as surely as I would without oxygen to
breathe.
I must always obtain the satisfaction of the fact that I alone control my life.
I have to do what I wish to do and no one can stop me from this.
I don't do anything to harm myself or others. I don't break too big of rules.
So why should I deserve restraints?
Restrictions repulse me, I will not give in to them, I will not be what society
says I should be. No one has the right to tell me what to do.
I refuse to enslave myself.
