I Dreamed

by

Sara Rarick

I dreamed I was a little bit better than I am right now.

I was better and you wanted to be mine.

I dreamed that I didn't feel like I was being used and abused by you.

You wanted me forever and we both liked it that way.

I dreamed you were as happy as you always looked.

And that I gave you that happiness just by one touch.

I dreamed that we were at a far away place together and alone.

It was beautiful and we had our own life, and people let us be.

I dreamed a dream that will never come true,

and I wish I was just a little bit older because maybe then it could be real.
