Left Astray

by

Sara Rarick

My heart is full of tears, they escape through the countless wounds I have received from you.

My eyes scream out your name in my sleep.

The truth, I have lost you, my blood runs cold.

I've been lost without you.

And I am nothing.

But a lost cause, full of emptiness.

Lonely days fill my life, without your smile, and without your laugh.

I can't help it, I wasn't thinking.

All the important things I never said to you, when they could have saved the both of us.

Now I'd give anything to hate you,

to not want you,

and to stop thinking of you, of us.

But I can't let go of the thought.

I miss you, everything about you.

I keep hope for the moment when we will be able to hold each other.

Until then, this will never change...

because I need you too much.
