Maybe Later

by

Sara Rarick

Forever was one big lie
the only forever I promise now is goodbye.
I'm try to smile, but the tears keep showing through.
I shook my head, and drops of remorse flew.
The people pointing and laughing,
ripped my heart out, I felt the sting.
I'l walk the rest of this mile,
but it will end the same, with one big manure pile.
I close my eyes,
and see my hand placed over yours.
The sweetest image...
how I wish this wasn't only a mirage.
I need you here, where can I find that path?
I'm about to unleash this wrath.
If I don't get you back, I think just out of spite,
I'll kill everyone I see this night.
I'm trying to keep hope,
but I'm at the end of my rope.
I just opened my eyes to the blackest day,
searching to find my way.
Perfect was a state of illusion,
now I'm lost to delusion.
