Miss Me Please
by
Sara Rarick

Another day passes by and still you are gone.
I told myself it wouldn't be this way,
that I would forget about you one day.
But here I am, once again, for about the hundredth time,
thinking about you,
where you are,
how your doing,
and who you are with.
Here I am, again writing about you with endless feelings.
They say if you set something free and it comes back,
that it is yours.
But you came back after I set you free,
and where does that leave us?
Because still I'm ignoring you,
trying to get over my childish fears and emotions I could never control for you.
So it's always going to come back to the simple fact,
that I wanted something I thought I could not have,
when all along it was right by my side,
trying to figure out a way to help us both work these things out.
Day after day, I'll just have to sit here and write words to you that you will
never read,
wondering how you are,
and if maybe you are thinking of me.
